The Film and The Foundation



A model for this film to inspire learning and healing.
Pilot Project: one Vashon Island, WA 8th grade class was preparing to go New Orleans for their annual Volunteer trip.
The kids and their teacher were inspired by the film "After The Storm".
WRITING SAMPLES opened their eyes to even more ways to learn from their experience.






"Open My Eyes"
A 7-minute documentary on what the class learned on their New Orleans trip in May 2010.
The title was spoken by one boy on the trip.
