For the past few years the subject of the Illuminati and "The New World Order" has become all the rage; do they really exists, or are they just a figment of the imagination in the minds of people uncertain about life and their place in the scheme of things?

     When you hear the word Illuminati, what comes to mind? How about the New World Order?

     Does a vision of evil corporate powers or a elite shadow world government come to mind?

     Or do you think of spiritually esoteric elites looking to guide and illuminate humanity?

     Is organized religion part of the Illuminati or New World Order, or are they at odds with any such secret societies?

     Do you think that there may be a benevolent society of people or uncaring powerful people and organizations that look at the rest of humanity as sheep to be sheared?

     I have met many people that have interesting ideas on this subject...long before the book "The da Vinci Code" had come out. It is the assertions of many that a variety of these scenarios exists.

     They also assert that the sheep shearers feel contempt for the bulk of humanity and want to keep some of their secrets out in the open and others hidden. They assert that there are also those in the power elite that want to free humanity by leading them towards spiritual evolution through the use of many mind'/body techniques and the restructuring of their standard moral code. In between these two groups there are those that wants humanity to evolve because they recognize that liberation of all, is also true liberation for them and their off-spring. However, they feel contempt of the masses because they believe that most humans lack the will or even the capacity to grow in any significant way. They feel that in the meantime, the sheep deserve the shearing they get.

     Most of my ex-coworkers in the federal sector believe in the New World Order and that corporations and governments work together to start and stop wars and famines for the sake of their economic gain. My ex-coworkers use the Illuminati or New World Order to justify their feelings of helplessness in their lives.

    What do I think? I think it makes sense that it is likely that over the centuries politically and economically powerful people, organizations within and without government and religious organizations would gravitate towards one another for the sake of economic gain and influence for themselves and their families. It makes sense that they would work to corner the market. Let's face it, if it is possible for people to acquire these advantages it is almost certain that they will. Do they work together to cause every war or rebellion that comes down the pike for their profits? That is unlikely. People and countries seem to need no subtle outside manipulations for an excuse to war.

     Will people profit from the plight of others if they can, even if they are not the cause of the unfortunate situation? Of course. I believe that it is likely that the Power elite is made of up a loose confederation of people, families, and  organizations that have a variety of agendas for humanity. It is believed that these entities have created many fraternal or secret organizations for the purpose of shaping ideals and a providing a proving ground from the common herd -  to see who will serve and who will not. And to see who works hard to grow spiritually and who does not.

     What some of my scholar friends believe is that their are secrets of influence, wealth and spiritual power...alone with secrets of longevity.

     I think that no matter what the truth is, the main thing for us as individuals to be concern about is our own sovereign development toward a high level of competence in every area of our lives.

I also believe that secrets that are withheld from us to keep us from evolving or hidden to test our resolve is important to ferret out for the development of total competence.

     I am intrigued with the possibilities. I now belong to a very secret and powerful organization called the Illuminaughty.
