EXCERPT FROM THE BOOK:

MOST PEOPLE TALK BULLSHIT - One Primates Search For Intelligent Life

CHAPTER FIVE

1958 – The Year I Turned Two

I was still too primitive to be aware of much outside the environment of my parents house or my mother’s arms. However, in hindsight, I feel it is important to mention the various events that had taken place that year; because of the effects and the way they affected my parents, which in turn indirectly affected me.

Previous to this year our country was only forty-eight states strong and it was this year that Alaska was accepted by President Eisenhower

Trouble in Cuba starts as Castro does CIA’s Dirty Work

The space race between us, and the Soviets steps up and NASA is created.

This year there is increasing alarm in the scientific community and over nine thousand intelligent hominids of the scientist classification publish a plea to stop nuclear bomb tests, the most well known being Bertrand Russell launchers a campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. The U.S. government thumbs it’s nose at Bertrand and his colleagues and conducts Operation Argus, which is a series of nuclear tests and explosions.

New strides in technology In August of this year, the USS Nautilus a nuclear powered submarine became the first vessel to cross the North Pole under water.

Some of the new songs of these year that seem to become popular were: At the Hop by Dany and the Juniors, Don’t I Beg of You, and Hard Headed Woman by Elvis Presley, Tequila by The Champs, Twilight Time by The Platters, Witch Doctor by David Seville, All I have to Do is Dream, by The Everly Brothers, The Purple People Eater, by Sheb Wooley, Poor Little Fool by Ricky Nelson, Volare by Domenico Modugno.

The popular movies of this year were: The bridge on the River Kwai, Peyton Place, Sayonara, No Time for Sergeants, The Vikings, Search for Paradise, South Pacific, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Raintree County, Old Yeller. Most of these movies we did not see for another three years. They sporadically were playing at the Norris-Theater in downtown Norristown. Years later the Norris degenerated into a porn theater and finally a McDonalds restaurant

The new Television Shows were the same as previous year with some new ones such as Maverick with James Garner, The Real McCoys and The Rifleman with Chuck Conners, The Andy Williams Show, Bat Masterson, The Betty White Show, The Dick Clark Show, The Donna Reed Show, The Eddie Fisher Show, The Invisible Man, The Lawman, Peter Gunn, The Rifleman, Sea Hunt, 77 Sunset Strip, Wanted: Dead or Alive.

Other Starship Primates Launched in 1958

This year along with me other notable Starships of basic primate design were also launched into this world to explore the Cosmos. I mean notable because they are both famous and their sphere of influence has been greater than most humans both good and bad. These Starship Primates are: Ellen DeGeneres - American actress and comedienne, Keenen Ivory Wayans - American comedian, actor, and director, Jello Biafra - American musician and activist; and each of them are very important to mention, because they are among the primates that will prove to be essential to our survival as a species.

While all of these events were happening this year and very important primates were launched into existence… my latest memory had occurred and it was of me shoving my head through the wooden bars of my playpen. The urge to escape the confines of my cage was paramount in my intent to leave and explore…to touch and taste everything; to take in as much data as I could.

This compulsion percolated within every fiber of my being as I shoved my head through the wooden bars I started to pry my head side to side until one of the bars snapped. I managed to get my body halfway through before getting stuck.

I felt afraid and frustrated as my body squirmed and strained to break free. Failing to do so brought on a flood of tears. Tears and screaming I learned, usually brought the results that I wanted. My mother came in the room and I sensed that she was both angry and concerned as she tried to disengage me from the bars, and then my memory fades…
