My Extended Biography & Philosophy Page You Just had to find out about us Federal Employees, didn't you! HA! Okay...here goes! ....Sadly, it is my estimation that a few of my coworkers and friends died unnecessarily because of these illogical protocols we were trying to change but failed. In addition to these complaints, my coworkers cited many occurrences of alleged sexual harrasements from administrators… along with other illegal activities counterproductive to the workforce environment and agency efficiency. I was actually forced out of work for two years and driven into homeless as a result as my inability to resolve these issues with the Federal agency I worked for. Gone were the majority of my retirement investments I had worked so hard and sacrifice so much over the years to acquire as a cushion for the insufficient pension that is the lot of many government employees; all because I wanted to be the type of man that walks the walk...instead of just talking the talk that most federal employees are content to do. I have to be honest…during the first few months of negotiating with the bureaucrats, I was threatened…and I knew that they would do everything in their power to undermine me. This is a typical knee-jerk reaction of federal agencies when challenged, and not a mechanism specifically reserved just for me. I was warned by a few lawyer friends of mine that if I continued on my mission... I would very likely be destroyed. Yes, I was forewarned, and I believed them. Many people thought I was crazy to pursue what I believed to be best for my coworkers and for my fellow Americans. Again I am simple the type of person that is compelled to pursue what is right. To anyone that has asking why I have done what I have done…I can only say this; I am not indulging in self-pity, and in fact I have come through this wiser. I know exactly why government agencies fail when they don't have to. It is necessarily the fault of our legislators, (although they could be a bit more helpful). Nor is the blame to be placed on our unions, the media, or the "System" or any secret society. It is not even the fault of the dullards entrenched in the bureaucracies of these agencies. It is mostly the fault of each of us as a whole, (a view that does not make me popular) and the fault of the federal employees that complain of the crimes committed against them and the suffering that they often endure…yet do nothing about. Most of you that do not know the unusual culture within many federal agencies. You cannot understand the apathy, fear, feelings of self-contempt, and contempt for citizens in the private sector which they hold. These employees seem to be imbued with overwhelming sense of entitlement. Not to worry though... there are solutions to the whole mess; both for the federal employee and the average work-a-day citizens that work in the private sector. For those of you who are not interested with anything to do with the malfunctions of the Federal sector, it is not necessary that you be concerned. I just wanted to make the point that if we wait for government agencies to fix things… we would wait forever. I am not content to follow the timeline of mindless agencies. Instead I want to take the ball into my own hands. How about you? Perhaps all of us, parents, teachers, leaders… even collectively as organizations or even nations, might realize these dreams.
